Dr. Bryan Shanley Sack, a 43-year-old pediatric urologist based in Ann Arbor, has been arrested and charged in Michigan with six felony counts related to possession of child sexually abusive material. Dr. Sack was arraigned in Washtenaw County’s 15th District Court and faces significant prison terms if convicted.

What do I need to know?
  • Dr. Bryan Shanley Sack, a pediatric urologist, has been charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, a count of possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Since charges were filed, Dr. Sack has been terminated from his position at Nationwide Children’s Hospital – Toledo in Ohio.
  • Washtenaw County police, along with a special victims unit, are currently reviewing seized materials from Dr. Sack.
