Attorney Alexis Ringman brings appellate-level insight, experience, and rigorous legal analysis to complex and high-stakes legal matters.
Alexis Ringman Senior Attorney

Experience Shaped by Michigan’s Appellate Courts
Alexis Ringman brings more than six years of experience working within Michigan’s appellate court system. Her background includes serving at both the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals, where she worked closely with judges on complex legal issues and case decisions.
Before joining Flood Law, Alexis served as a law clerk to Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra H. Bolden and previously to Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Michelle M. Rick. In these roles, she reviewed appellate briefs, analyzed legal arguments, and contributed to the development of opinions in cases involving significant and often novel legal questions. This experience gives Alexis a unique perspective on how appellate courts evaluate cases—insight that informs her approach to litigation, legal strategy, and issue development. Earlier in her career, Alexis served as a Research Attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals, where she prepared detailed research reports to assist judicial panels in advance of oral arguments.
Supporting Complex Litigation with Appellate Insight
At Flood Law, Alexis applies her appellate experience to support litigation involving complex legal questions, strategic motion practice, and matters that may extend beyond the trial court. Her background allows her to identify and develop strong legal arguments early in a case, anticipate appellate issues and preserve them for review, and approach litigation with a broader, system-level understanding of how courts analyze and decide cases. This perspective strengthens the firm’s ability to handle matters that require both trial-level advocacy and appellate-level precision.
