David Champine is a dedicated trial attorney at Flood Law whose practice centers on pursuing justice for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. His work reflects a deep commitment to holding individuals and institutions accountable while supporting clients through some of the most difficult experiences they may face.

With extensive experience handling serious criminal matters, David approaches each case with careful preparation, strategic focus, and a strong understanding of how to present complex and sensitive issues in the courtroom.

A Career Built in Prosecution

David began his legal career at Flood Law before joining the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in 2015. There, he focused on prosecuting cases involving criminal sexual conduct and human trafficking.

This work required a detailed understanding of trauma-informed advocacy, complex investigations, and the legal strategies necessary to build strong cases involving vulnerable victims.

From 2021 to 2025, David served with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, where he expanded his practice to include domestic violence cases and child physical abuse matters

These roles further strengthened his ability to handle high-stakes criminal cases involving sensitive facts and serious allegations.

Extensive Trial Experience

Over the course of his career, David has tried approximately 60 felony cases to verdict.

This level of courtroom experience provides a strong foundation for his work at Flood Law, where he applies his trial skills to civil litigation and survivor-focused advocacy.
