Katherine Kobiljak Hrabnicky is an Associate Attorney at Flood Law PLLC and a member of the firm’s litigation team, with a focus on personal injury and employment law. Since joining the firm after being sworn in in 2024, she has contributed to complex litigation through detailed legal research, motion practice, and strategic case development.

Her work includes drafting substantive motions and successfully arguing against governmental immunity defenses, demonstrating both her analytical ability and growing courtroom confidence. Katherine supports attorneys and clients across a range of matters, helping ensure each case is prepared with clarity, precision, and attention to detail.

Foundation and Leadership

Katherine’s experience reflects a strong foundation in communication, leadership, and legal advocacy. As a consultant at the MSU Writing Center, she developed the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, effective messaging, a skill that carries directly into her legal writing and client work today.

During law school, she remained actively engaged in the legal community, serving as President of the Environmental Law Society and as a member of the St. Thomas More Society. Through these roles, she collaborated closely with peers and faculty while exploring the broader impact of law on policy, community, and environmental issues.

Community Involvement 

Outside of her legal practice, Katherine remains actively engaged in community leadership and service. She is:

  • Vice President and newsletter editor of the Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy
  • Girls varsity tennis coach at Grosse Ile High School
  • A volunteer Alpine ski patroller

Through these roles, she contributes to environmental stewardship, youth development, and community engagement, reflecting a broader commitment to service beyond the courtroom.
