A New Generation of Advocates

Allexa Otto is an Associate Attorney at Flood Law PLLC. As part of the firm’s litigation team, she supports attorneys and clients across a wide range of matters while developing the courtroom and legal skills that define Flood Law’s next generation of advocates.

Allexa approaches her work with careful attention to detail, disciplined legal research, and a strong commitment to helping clients understand and navigate the legal system. Her academic achievements and early professional experiences reflect the same values that shape Flood Law’s culture: preparation, professionalism, and dedication to meaningful legal advocacy.

Supporting Clients Through Complex Legal Matters

As an associate at Flood Law, Allexa works closely with the firm’s attorneys on matters that require careful legal research, strategic preparation, and clear communication.

Her work centers around a broader mission: helping clients navigate difficult legal challenges with experienced advocacy, thoughtful guidance, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results.

By combining strong academic preparation with a growing litigation practice, Allexa plays an important role in supporting the firm’s clients and advancing the work of the Flood Law team.

Legal Education and Early Leadership

Allexa earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in May 2024 and successfully passed the July 2024 Michigan Bar Exam. During law school, she demonstrated both academic excellence and leadership within the legal community.

She served as Executive Article Editor for the Journal of Law in Society and as a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant.

These roles required strong analytical ability, precision in legal writing, and the ability to mentor fellow law students; skills that continue to inform her work as a practicing attorney.

Academic Foundation and Commitment to Justice

Allexa's academic experience reflects a broad interest in how law intersects with policy and society. One of the most formative parts of her undergraduate education was her participation in the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. This nationally recognized program brings traditional college students and incarcerated individuals together in a shared learning environment to examine issues of crime, justice, and the legal system.

Through dialogue and collaboration across profound social barriers, the program encourages participants to develop a deeper understanding of the complexities of the criminal justice system, an experience that continues to shape Allexa’s perspective as an attorney.
